Through the Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP) and State of Texas Access Reform (STAR) Medicaid programs, Dell Children’s Health Plan offers quality healthcare and extra benefits for families just like yours, with local doctors and clinics close to home.
Dell Children’s Health Plan is a Health Maintenance Organization (HMO) committed to getting you the right care close to home. Your Dell Children’s Health Plan benefits are your STAR or CHIP benefits, plus the extra benefits you get for being our member.

- Coverage for your kids from birth to age 20, so they are supported throughout childhood

We serve CHIP and STAR Medicaid-eligible individuals, including newborns up to age 20, and pregnant or new moms who live in these Central Texas counties:
- Bastrop
- Burnet
- Caldwell
- Fayette
- Hays
- Lee
- Travis
- Williamson
- Age 18 or younger. Children up to age 20 can qualify for Medicaid in some cases
- A Texas resident
- A U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident. The parent’s immigration status does not matter
CHIP and STAR Medicaid coverage
Along with the standard coverage you get with any CHIP and STAR Medicaid health plan, you’ll also love our extra benefits that help you and your family live healthier, more rewarding lives.
Value-added services* for Dell Children’s Health Plan members
- Up to $100 every two years toward upgraded eyeglass lenses and frames or contact lenses, in addition to their standard Medicaid vision benefit.
- One sports or school physical every 12 months for members through age 18.
- Membership at participating YMCA locations for members through age 14.
- Planet Fitness membership for members 15 years and older.
- Overnight summer and spring break camps at El Ranchito for members 9 to 18 years old.
- $25 rewards per semester for good grades, good attendance or attending IEP or 504 meetings in high school.

Special Delivery program for pregnant moms and new moms*
We’ve got pregnant and new moms covered with Dell Children’s Health Plan. Our pregnancy program has many benefits to help support you throughout your pregnancy and as a new mom.

- Help getting a ride to pregnancy-related doctor visits, pregnancy or birthing classes, WIC offices, food banks, grocery stores, Dell Children’s Health Plan meetings, child day care, houses of worship, Simply Safety Centers, employment search locations, libraries and other approved locations.
- Convertible car seat for completing six prenatal visits. (One car seat per pregnancy per child)
- Up to $500 for dental checkups, X-rays, cleanings, fillings and extractions each year for CHIP Perinate pregnant members age 19 and older and STAR pregnant members age 21 and older.
- Pregnancy and birthing classes now available live or self-paced online.
