Members love our value-added services.
As a Dell Children’s Health Plan member, you can expect more. On top of the health care coverage you get with any CHIP or STAR Medicaid health plan, we offer many value-added services that our members love!
Limitations and restrictions may apply. This list is not all inclusive. See your member handbook for more information and how to get these services. Items with (*) are not available for CHIP Perinate members.
The following value-added services are available beginning September 1, 2024 through August 31, 2025.
- $20 reward each year for getting annual Texas Health Steps or well-child checkups on time.*
- $20 reward for each timely Texas Health Steps or well-child checkup at 18, 24 and 30 months.
- $120 reward for members who get all 6 Texas Health Steps or well-child checkup, newborn through 15 months.
- $50 reward for members age 9 through 13 who get the full series of the Immunizations for Adolescents (IMA), which is the full series of the HPV (human papillomavirus) vaccine, one dose of meningococcal vaccine and one Tdap vaccine.
- $25 reward for women receiving a chlamydia screening by age 24. STAR members only.
- $25 gift card for over-the-counter products for members age 3 and older for getting an annual flu vaccine.
- $40 voucher to spend at the Dell Children’s Medical Center’s Simply Safety Centers for Members age 3 to 18 who get an annual checkup within 90 days of joining Dell Children’s Health Plan.
- $20 reward for members newly diagnosed with ADHD and have a follow-up visit with their provider within 30 days of starting medication treatment.
- $75 reward for getting a prenatal checkup in the first trimester or within 42 days of enrollment with the health plan in any trimester.
- $100 reward for getting a postpartum checkup 7 to 84 days after giving birth.
- $75 reward for members who complete 5 of the “Combo 10” vaccines and an additional $125 reward for members who complete all of the “Combo 10” vaccines by 24 months of age.
- Up to $100 for nicer lenses and frames every 2 years, including Medicaid benefit.
- Up to $100 for contacts (standard and disposable) every 2 years, including Medicaid benefit.

- Up to $50 per semester for Boys & Girls Club membership.
- Membership at Hays County YMCA locations for members through age 12.
- Planet Fitness membership for members 15 years and older.
- Spring break and summer overnight camps for members 9 to 18 years old.
- $40 voucher for items at Dell Children’s Simply Safety Centers for members ages 3 to 18 who get an annual well-child checkup within 90 days of joining the health plan.
- A convertible car seat at Dell Children’s Simply Safety Centers for pregnant members who complete 6 prenatal visits while a member of the health plan.
One sports or school physical each year for members through age 18.
- Allergy-free pillow cover for members in the asthma service coordination program (one per year).
- Allergy-free mattress cover for members in the asthma service coordination program (one per year).
- $40 for members who get a diabetes screening HbA1c blood sugar test.
- $20 reward for members newly diagnosed with ADHD and have a follow up visit with their provider within 30 days of starting medication treatment.
- Interactive tools for members in one of our service coordination programs for diabetes, asthma, weight management or hypertension.
MyStrength is a self-guided online tool and mobile app for members* to learn to reduce chronic pain, stress, anxiety, depression or substance use disorder. MyStrength also offers materials to support pregnant women and new parents.

*For ages 13+.
- Members between grades 9 and 12 can get a $25 gift card per semester for (up to $50 per year):
- A GPA of 3.0 or greater.
- Attendance record of 90% or higher
- Attending an IEP or 504 meeting
- For members ages 17 and older, Dell Children’s Health Plan will cover the cost of GED online preparation courses and coaching sessions.
- For members ages 17 to 20, Dell Children’s Health Plan will cover the fee of the high school equivalency test.
- Expert guidance for members with health conditions in public schools needing IEP or 504 accommodations.
- $25 reward per semester for high school students attending their IEP or 504 meetings.
- Movie theater gift card for children with autism for sensory friendly films.
- Educational advocacy assistance in public schools for individuals with health comorbidities and intellectual or developmental disabilities.
- Mobile learning app for children 2 to 8 years old with autism or speech delay.

You can get a ride to doctor visits, pregnancy or birthing classes, WIC offices, food banks, grocery stores, Dell Children’s Health Plan meetings, child day care, houses of worship, employment search locations, libraries and other approved locations.
- To schedule a ride, please call 1-844‐867‐2742 (TTY 7-1-1) or use the Access2Care app, available from the App Store or Google Play.
- Dell Children’s Health Plan will use Access2Care to arrange travel.
- You can call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.
Spiritual care attends to our members’ spiritual needs as they cope with illness, loss, grief or pain and to help them heal emotionally regaining a sense of spiritual well-being.
Chaplains can be reached via telephone Monday to Friday 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Central at 1-833-789-4487.
